3x11: Reciprocity

wendelah1It's several weeks after Fauxlivia has returned to the other universe. Following her traumatic reentry, Olivia is finally beginning to move forward, which is the good news. However, the not-so-good news is that Peter has crossed over to the dark side of the force. Here is Peter's best imitation of Anakin Skywalker.

Synopsis:
With the help of Massive Dynamic and the US military, we get our first look at the Machine, which has been assembled at a remote Top Secret airbase. The scientists have been unable to find the on switch, let alone determine its power source. During the Fringe team's visit to the base, the Machine gets switched on at the same moment that Peter gets a nosebleed. Afterwards, he goes to Massive Dynamic to get tests done to determine what's going on. This turn of events makes Walter anxious enough to dose himself with chimpanzee DNA in a vain attempt to get his brain cells to regenerate so he can help Peter. While the FBI is still trying to make sense of Fauxlivia's computer files, someone who has accessed her data begins hunting down shape-shifters, killing them, and removing their storage discs. Here's the twist: the killer turns out to be Peter.
I have to admit, I did not see that one coming.

WALTER: I think I know what's happening to you. Every relationship is reciprocal, Peter. When you touch something, it touches you. You're changing, son. When you touched the machine, it changed you. It weaponized you.
