There's probably more to say about this episode, but if I stop to write more I will never catch up.

I'm surprised so many of the reviews were "meh" about this episode, because my happy Olivia/Peter feelings blinded me to, well, everything else. Olivia's mini-arc between "Marionette" and "6B" is uncertain and messy and all about Olivia in ways I like. Blueverse Olivia in "6B: is an Olivia trying to figure out how to trust after she's been burned. It's the sort of unanswerable question I am happy to see explored in more than one way.

"Belly and I used to argue about this constantly - what happens to the body's energy after death." That was great foreshadowing for "Stowaway"! Going on to actually mention soul magnets was overkill.

Continuing my theme of caring far more than usual about color and lighting choices, I must note that the Amber briefing for Broyles was soaked in blues.

"What if this is not about physics, but about people?" That's it. That is Fringe, in one sentence.

I REALLY wanted them to Amber that building, not because it's great for the universe, but because it throws in the twist of having Fringe Division become public on both sides in different ways. Imagine the scandal on this side when people find out the government has been funding a secret division to prevent the collapse of the universe. [Takes notes for AU].

Ha. Fringe would have been a very different show if it went that route. (Which would not stop be from subscribing to that AU!)

The Walter ethical conundrums, and his grappling with Walternate's shadow in this ep, is the sort of doubling I like far more than "which Olivia will Peter pick". Peter's really the only person who on the show who doesn't have to come to terms with his alternate's life, and how that relates to his experiences. I wonder if more could have been done with that?
